Greetings, Winos! Scott here.
I know it’s been a while. Roughly a year ago, when we decided it would be fun to share our wine adventures, we had all kinds of ideas for how to do it. If you follow our Instagram & Facebook pages (and if you don’t, why not???), you can see we try to post about the places we go. I thought this website would be another way, but I’ll be honest – I’m not a natural writer.
I’m a huge Rush fan, and by extension, Neil Peart. Beyond being Rush’s legendary drummer and lyricist, Peart was a prolific writer, penning some of the most interesting travelogs out there. From sharing a bicycling trip through western Africa, to reminiscing about favorite songs of his youth, or healing from the loss of his only child and wife within a 9 month span, his books blended life, love, loss, humor, and scenery against the tapestry of roads less traveled. He makes you care about the places he described because of the way he connected with them.
Ok, that’s a high bar, but you get the gist. If all we do is throw up some pictures as we traverse this state, where’s the fun in that? This state really does have some cool places and people. Maybe we can introduce you to a few as we explore.
Since road trips are more fun together, why not check out or new Ohio Wine Explorers Facebook Public Group? It’s a companion to our regular Facebook Page, and it’s where you can all become Ohio Wine Explorers! Share you trips and experiences, or ask for advice on your own trip planning!
